Regulus Talisman

This is an example of the Invocatio and Narratio for consecrating a Regulus talisman. They are used in the Hellenic Talisman Consecration.

Invocatio:

Hear me, O Heart of the Lion! Kardia Leontis! Cor Leonis! Al Kalb al Asad!
Come, Thou Great and Mighty One! Megale! Magne! Magha!
I call Thee, Leader of the Four Guardians of Heaven!
Thou art Hero and Center!
Show Thy Flashing Rays of Blood-red Fire!
Basiliske! Rex et Regia! Basilica Stella!

Or by whatever names are Thy delight,
approach and come Thou to this sacred rite!

Narratio:

I ask Thee Great Lion, who draweth strength from the Moon, to bestow Thy Heart Energy on me. For Thy heart is Basiliskos, the King who rules the Microcosm as the Lion rules the Macrocosm. And as Thou didst fall from the Heavens and strive in close conjunction with bright-shining Heracles, and ever after adorned and protected Him, by whom Thou wast exalted, do Thou now grant Thy heart to me that I might have the fortitude and fame of Heracles, and tread His Path into the Heavens.

If ever I’ve fulfilled the vows I’ve made,
Then hear me now and grant to me Thine aid
